Video blocks

There are different ways to include video in your page, depending on where your video file is hosted.

You need to add a transcript link and captions for any videos you add to your site to meet accessibility guidelines. Find out more about how to make videos accessible.

YouTube embed block

Use the Youtube embed block to show content hosted on Youtube. Simply enter the URL of the hosted video from Youtube and the video will be displayed in your page.

Video block

Use this block if you want to host the video file in the media library of your site.

Insert the video block and you will be prompted to upload a video, select one from the media library or insert from a URL.

Vimeo embed

If you choose to host your video on Vimeo, you can use the Vimeo embed block to embed the video on your site. Simply enter the URL of the hosted video from Vimeo and the video will be displayed in your page.

Embed block

You can also use the embed block to display content that pulls from other sites, which works in the same way as the other embed blocks mentioned above.

Enter the URL of the content you want to display and select ‘Embed’.
